The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea (ELC-PNG), through its Project Management Office, has announced its support for renewable energy development initiatives in Papua New Guinea. This initiative is aimed at supporting national efforts to improve access to reliable and sustainable energy, particularly in communities and regions where power supply remains a major challenge.
As part of this support, ELC-PNG is making available suitable registered land portions in selected locations across Papua New Guinea for potential renewable energy projects, including solar energy development. These land portions vary in size and location, with some areas offering significant potential for larger-scale solar farm projects.
ELC-PNG believes renewable energy has an important role to play in strengthening communities, supporting essential services, and contributing to long-term national development.
The ELC-PNG Project Management Office will coordinate inquiries, assessments, and discussions relating to this initiative. Interested renewable energy developers, investors, development partners, and relevant stakeholders are invited to contact the ELC-PNG Project Management Office by email at coordinator@pmo.elcpng.org
ELC-PNG is a Papua New Guinean church and development partner with a long history of service in education, health, community development, and mission work across the country.
Through this initiative, ELC-PNG seeks to support responsible renewable energy development that can benefit communities and contribute to Papua New Guinea’s sustainable future.
