The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea (ELCPNG) is preparing for one of its most significant ministerial gatherings – the 16th National Pastors & Evangelists Conference, scheduled for 21st to 26th September 2025. This year’s conference will be hosted by ELC-Ukata District at Komba Seket, under the theme: “Be Salt and Light in: Pastoral Context.” (Matthew 5:13–14)
The Pastors & Evangelists Conference is a biennial event that brings together ordained pastors and evangelists from all districts across the country for theological reflection, spiritual renewal, and fellowship. The last conference in 2023 was successfully hosted by ELC-Karkar District, marking a milestone in strengthening pastoral ministry and unity across the Church.
In 2025, the torch has been passed to Ukata District, which has already begun preparations to welcome hundreds of spiritual leaders. The conference will focus on empowering ministers to live out their calling as agents of transformation in their communities – as salt and light in the world.
