The office of the General Church Secretary oversees the operations of the Departments and other instrumentalities of the church. General Secretary is the Public Officer and Administrative head of the Church who coordinates, supervise and monitor the functions of the departmental heads and ensures the implementation of the decisions of the Synod and Church Council. Office of the secretary comes currently oversee Corporate Services and Social Services Departments. Corporate Services have divisions of Human Resource, Information Communication & Technology/Communications and Governance, Legal and Archives. Vision 2030 also comes under this office but will be monitored by proposed division of Planning & Implementation Unit (PIMU). A person appointed to be the Secretary of ELCPNG must be a professionally qualified and experienced person with a good standing within the Church. The current Church Secretary is Bernard Kaisom from Biu congregation, Tagup circuit of ELC Karkar District.
