The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea (ELC-PNG), through its Project Management Office (PMO), is pleased to announce two exciting part-time employment opportunities for committed and motivated individuals. These positions provide a meaningful chance to support the mission and administrative functions of the PMO while serving within a Christian church environment.

Vacancy 1: Office Assistant (Part-Time 50%)
Location: Lae, Morobe Province
Contract: 1 Year (Renewable Based on Performance & Funding)
The ELC-PNG PMO seeks applications for the role of Office Assistant.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage office supplies and general office logistics
- Maintain files and organize documents (excluding financial records)
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Assist with meeting minutes and appointment scheduling
- Support travel arrangements and event coordination
- Provide general administrative support to PMO staff as required
Minimum Requirements
- Completed secondary school education with above-average grades
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative support
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Experience in a church, faith-based, or development organization is an advantage
- Willingness to work within a Christian church environment
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and reliability
- Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
- Sufficient English language skills
- Reference from a Parish Pastor or recognized church authority preferred

Vacancy 2: Finance Clerk (Part-Time 50%)
Location: Lae, Morobe Province
Contract: 1 Year (Renewable Based on Performance & Funding)
The ELC-PNG PMO invites applications for the position of Finance Clerk.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and sign payment request documents for review by the PMO Coordinator
- Verify accuracy of supporting documentation and budget lines
- Maintain financial records and digital archives
- Support General Finance & PMO in audit preparation
- Monitor expenditure against approved project budgets
- Support regular financial reporting requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or at least 2 years’ proven experience in finance/accounting
- Familiarity with donor regulations and reporting standards
- Experience in non-profit, church, or faith-based organizations preferred
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Strong English language skills
- Reference from a Parish Pastor or recognized church authority preferred
